Give Like Dolly Day is September 25th, inspired by her song “9 to 5,” a global day dedicated to supporting local Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Programs and honoring Dolly’s extraordinary legacy of inspiring children to dream big and develop a lifelong love of reading. Dolly Parton believed in giving back and helping children dream bigger—and this year, we’re celebrating that spirit right here through Give Like Dolly Day.
On September 25, we’re inviting our community to join us in giving back to children by supporting Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in the four zip codes that the Rotary Club of Sun Lakes covers (85224, 85225, 85283, and 85286). Your support helps make it possible for children in our community to receive a free, high-quality book every month from birth to age 5. We have partnered with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library since 2019. To date, we have mailed out 57,283 books and served 2,281 children! We currently have 801 kids registered and would like to add more kids as funding becomes available. At one point, we had 1,300 kids registered, and it would be great to reach that number again.
You can help us reach even more children and families in our zip codes. Every gift helps us continue building a community where children can grow up surrounded by the joy of books and reading.
