Mary Louise was born in Iowa, graduated from New Providence High School, then attended William Penn College two years and married William Kirk in 1949. We had twin daughters in 1950, and sons in 1953 and 1956. We were divorced in 1967 and she obtained a real estate license with James Cutler Realty. Success came quickly as a “million-dollar” sales producer and served on the local Real Estate Board for six years. She took Dale Carnegie Sales courses and for 2 years was with Toastmasters International for 23 years and the National Speakers Association for 26 years. While at James Cutler Realty, Mary Louise and James married in 1970 and lived in Northville, Minnesota until moving to Sun Lakes in 1995. James passed away in 1996. She remarried in 1997 to Anthony Lansbarkis who passed away in 2012. She has 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
In 2012 Mary Louise met Rotarian Lee Widener who asked her to join the Sun Lakes Rotary Club where she has served on several committees, became a club board member and then the Club President in 2015. Mary Louise is a Rotary Foundation Paul Harris and a Legacy Guard Member of the Sun Lakes Rotary Foundation 2000. She is proud to have the opportunity to give back to the local Sun Lakes community and support education projects and programs.
