I was born and raised in Iowa and graduated from the University of Iowa. In 1970 I began my career with Peat, Marwick in Chicago and in 1972 joined Alexander Grant in La Crosse, WI. I came to Tucson in 1978 to work for a local CPA firm and from 1984 to 2014 I was a sole practitioner there. I sold my practice in 2014 and we moved to Gilbert. I am married to Patty, we have five children and seven of our eight grandchildren live in the Phoenix East Valley...
I was in the Tucson Casas Adobes Rotary Club from 1980 until 2014. I served as treasurer, newsletter editor and organized our club foundation. I also served as District 5500 Treasurer and several years as the District 5500 Foundation treasurer where I spent most of my time on the El Tour de Tucson Polio Plus fundraiser.
I joined Sun Lakes Rotary in January 2015 and became Treasurer of our Foundation 2000 a few months later. My childhood experience with paper routes in Iowa paid off this year when I got a “job” delivering the Splash.
I am proud to have been a Rotarian for 38 years. The fellowship with other Rotarians and participation in Rotary service has greatly enriched my life.
