We welcome from Washington State Kim Rector who recently retired and moved with husband Tim to our Sun Lakes Community after spending 18 years as a flight attendant for Alaska Airlines and before that the owner of four Mexican Restaurants for 17 years in the greater Seattle area.
Kim started her working career at age 14 in a Mexican Restaurant and based on this experience she majored in Hotel and Restaurant Management in college and then went on to Mexico City, Mexico to further her Spanish language, culture participation and food development knowledge and restaurant skills.
We celebrate Kim and over 338,000 women in Rotary around the world and the women members of the Sun Lakes Rotary Club. We are happy to have Kim as our newest member and we encourage other women to come for a visit and consider joining our Rotary club where together we can make a greater impact on improving our local community and provide education programs and projects for our Chandler Unified School District. We are people of action.
