Rotarian and Hockey Coach, Peter Morris has led the Hamilton High School Huskies to winning the Division 1 Arizona State High School Hockey Championship for the first time in history! It was not an easy victory as they fought the four-time defending State Champions Pinnacle High School and defeated them 4-3 in an overtime shootout to advance to the Championship game where they played and defeated Chaparral High School 7-5 to become the State Champions.
And now they will represent the State of Arizona at the High School Hockey Nationals in Dallas, Texas March 26th to March 30th.
At this time Hockey is a “club sport” at Hamilton High School and not supported financially by the school athletic programs but only by the players and their parents and local donations from hockey fans.
