What a great year to celebrate the 20th rendition of our Annual Pancake Breakfast.  The event ranks as the second most important fundraising event for the organization....

With the money raised from the Breakfast we can fund such community activities as the third-grade dictionary project for Chandler Schools, Choices program for high school freshman, teacher of the month, the F1 car program, kids shopping spree and the Mathews Crossing Food Bank.

This year we estimated that over 1,000 people attended the event at Cottonwood Country Club.  The guests were treated to excellent pancakes, bacon or sausage and a selection of drinks.  All this for a low price of $9 per person ($10 at the door).

To help with fund raising and to keep the guests having a good time while the guests were eating we conducted three raffles that cost anywhere from $1 to $15 depending on the number of tickets that were purchased.  This year we included items with values up to $400.  Thanks to our sponsors for their great gifts that could be raffled off during the event.

And yes, there was a Silent Auction!  Early during the month of October we were concerned that we were not going to have enough items to have a successful auction.  But in true Sun Lakes Rotary performance the members hit the street and we ended up with more items than we could possibly use so the Raffle items doubled in size.  Thanks members for being such great support when it really counted!

We look forward to next year when we will be putting on the 21st Annual Breakfast on Sunday November 12, 2017.  Thanks again for all your continued support.
