Current status of reopening Chandler Unified School District

For over 22 years, Dr. Craig Gilbert has served the Chandler community through the Chandler Unified School District. After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Arizona, Dr. Gilbert came to CUSD; first as an educator and coach, then as Vice Principal at Hamilton High, Principal of Payne Junior High, and finally as an Assistant Superintendent at the district level for Secondary Education. During this time he also completed his master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Phoenix, as well as obtained his doctorate of education in leadership from Arizona State University. For nearly 14 years, Dr. Gilbert has been responsible for the supervision of seven junior high schools, six high schools, two alternative schools and one online school totaling over 24,000 students. As a member of the Chandler community, Dr. Gilbert gives back through youth sports and as a board member of the Chandler Chamber of Commerce.
