Club Business Meeting

David A. David of Car and Driver magazine will highlight some of today’s auto markets and events.
In 1997 he was recruited to be the Director of Consumer Reports Auto Test Facility in East Haddam CT, where he was in charge of their extensive auto, tire and child seat testing at the 327-acre site in East Haddam, CT. The Auto Test campus is a state-of-the-art facility with specially paved surfaces, straight- and winding-road courses, an off-road course, the latest computerized test equipment, and an expert staff. The department anonymously buys and tests more than 80 cars and trucks a year, and is the largest independent consumer automobile testing center in the world.He moved back to the valley in 2012 and rejoined Nissan at their proving grounds just south of Maricopa, where he was an executive senior advisor for design and quality. He was involved in the design and development of future products and systems, including advanced zero emission vehicles and autonomous driving cars.Since retiring in 2018 he started a consulting company helping auto manufacturers with his wealth of expertise.
He is also renovating a 1985 British Rover Vitesse, which is quite a task as they were never imported into the US. His first car was a 1959 Mini.

Haydn Janus of Chandler’s Majestic Theater will provide an overview of his theater and today’s movie theater business.

Our very own Dr. Craig Gilbert will provide an overview with updates on the Chandler Unified School District.

Chad Shuman, a US Army military officer for 23+ years, will tell us how he is “struck in two worlds with his life lessons of a military career.

James DeVary, owner of Senior Helpers, will give us an overview of this organization that provides in-home senior care.

Jennifer McClellan Kerr, Editor of Music for USA Today, will highlight changes in the newspaper business and her work.

Our speaker will be Janeen Scaringelli, Administrator of Chandler Early College, operated by the Chandler Unified School District (CUSD). She will highlighting the Chandler Early College (CEC) program that is housed on the Chandler-Gilbert Community College campus.

Our speaker will be Natasha Davis, Director of Counseling and Social Services for the Chandler Unified School District. She will be speaking on resources, interventions and programs offered to students.

Business Meeting

Our speaker will be Stephanie Ingersoll, Executive Director of Marketing and Communications for the Chandler Unified School District.  She will be speaking on her role in community relations and her efforts to provide curriculum and programs through committed communication to students, parents, and the community

Our speaker will be Lana Berry, Chief Financial Officer of the Chandler Unified School District.  She will be addressing budget matters and issues and her role.

Casteel High School Interact students and counselor Christopher James will do a presentation and our very own Gary Kay will provide us with an "Army Veteran's Vietnam Experience 1968 - 1969".

Louis Sikich, the Chandler Scheels' Store Leader/Partner, will provide us with an overview of the employee-owned retailer.

Carlson Elementary School Principal Andy Morgan will discuss our joint work with his students in the STEM Jet Car and Gravity Cruiser Program.
