Fred was born March 20, 1940 and raised in Washington DC.  His father was a policeman and mother a pianist and organist.    He graduated from George Washington U. with a degree in Zoology and then on to 4 more years at Georgetown  U. School of Dentistry earning a DDS Degree.  Additionally, he was awarded a post-doctoral fellowship in Anatomy at Georgetown...

He met and married his wife, Sue during his junior year of Dental School.  After dental school he completed two years of active Navy duty as a General Dentist at the Los Alamitos Naval Air Station in California.  After his service, he completed a 3 year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo, NY after which he and family returned to Washington DC and practiced surgery for four years.  Fred states “because of his love for the mountains and ocean” he moved his family and practice to the flat land of Minot, ND in 1976 and practiced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery before retiring in 2000.

Fred joined the Rotary Club of Minot in 1976 where he served on several committees and was Club President in 1999.  Fred also was President of the Minot Symphony, the Western Plains Opera and the Minot Hockey Boosters.  He and Sue have a Son, Daughter and two Grandchildren.  Unfortunately, in 2010 Sue lost her battle with cancer. And again Fred states “because of his love for the mountains and ocean” he moved to Sun Lakes in 2017.
