Greg grew up in Cumberland, a small western Maryland town in 1946 and graduated from Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia. He then joined the US Navy and served as an Electronic Technician- Communications specialist for ten years.  He then left the Navy and went to work for Perkin-Elmer Corp. (Norwalk, CT) as a Field Service Engineer servicing Analytical Instruments such as Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometers and with this experience he became a Service Manager of their Central Region..
Greg decided to leave the East Coast and moved to San Jose, CA where he joined Hitachi High Technologies Inc. as Manager of Customer Service and soon after he was promoted to National Service Manager of Analytical Scientific Instruments. Not yet ready to retire, he and his wife Lorrie moved to Phoenix, AZ and joined TSA at Sky Harbor International Airport as the Baggage Supervisor for the last 10 years of his career.
 
Greg retired in 2012 and moved here to Sun Lakes.  Soon after, he was sponsored by Bill McCoach into the Sun Lakes Rotary Club.  He has been very active in Club Committees and as a Board Director.  Congratulations to our new Vice President, Greg Jewell.  We look forward to your Rotary leadership for our Sun Lakes Rotary Club.
